Passenger have launched a new app for Thames Valley Buses (currently Courtney Buses) as a rolling rebrand and service improvements continue across Berkshire. The new app brings mobile ticketing to Courtney Buses, alongside a host of other functionality.

Reading Buses acquired Courtney Buses in 2019 following the retirement of founder Bill Courtney-Smith; and will rebrand the fleet of 57 vehicles as Thames Valley Buses over the next few years.

Passenger, who were chosen by Courtney Buses to make their new website in 2018, launched the companion Passenger app after working closely with the newly combined Courtney and Reading Buses teams. The app – which includes live bus tracking for all Courtney & Thames Valley routes – uses the same network and real-time data as the website, so maintaining it is hassle-free for the team at Courtney.

The new app introduces synced favourites across app and website, making it easy for customers to save their stops, journeys and routes. As standard with a Passenger Premium app Thames Valley customers can also enjoy the benefits of dark mode too.
